We are hosting an online KEF event on Wednesday 19th October, 10.00-11.15am.
Following the success of June’s gathering, and in response to feedback from you, we are once again bringing together people living with dementia, our businesses and supporting partner organisations, to help spur on ideas for how to make tourist settings more accessible and engaging. In this informal session we will be hearing a short talk from one of ENLIVEN’s network members, with lived experience of dementia, about what fun means to them. We will also be hearing from two partner organisations about how they try and create fun experiences for people living with dementia. These conversations will help businesses develop interventions that ENLIVEN will fund, through grant awards, in this next stage of the project.

Sally Stratton is the Learning Manager who works alongside Claire Leighton the Community Development Manager at Strawberry Hill House & Garden. Together they set up an outreach project ‘The Feel Good Garden’ in 2014 in response to demand in the local community for regular activities for people living with dementia and their supporters. Making use of the education centre that overlooks the community garden they host monthly ‘Feel Good Garden’ sessions throughout the year with a team of experienced volunteers.
Kim Klug is the Community Partnerships Manager at Historic Royal Palaces. She is passionate about creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to engage with museums, galleries and heritage sites in ways that are meaningful and relevant for them. Kim is particularly interested in ensuring Historic Royal Palaces is an environment people living with dementia, not only feel welcome, but enjoy visiting.
