ENLIVEN was one of seven research projects funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) that formed the Healthy Ageing Social, Behavioural and Design Research Programme (SBDRP), overseen by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
The programme was one component of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund Healthy Ageing Challenge, with the overall goal of extending healthy, active life expectancy by five years by 2035.
