Project Team

ENLIVEN was led by Professor Linda Clare, a specialist in dementia research.

Other members of the team focussed on various aspects of ageing and dementia, connecting people with nature, the visitor economy, or ensuring that the voices of people with dementia were at the heart of the research.

Professor of Clinical Psychology of Ageing and Dementia, University of Exeter Medical School, and dementia theme lead, NIHR Applied Research Collaboration South-West Peninsula

As Principal Investigator for ENLIVEN, Linda was the overall lead for the project. Linda’s research aims to support functioning and improve well-being for people living with dementia and neurodegenerative conditions.

Joanne has expertise in inclusive business practice in the visitor economy and nature-based outdoor recreation. Joanne co-led business research, engagement and innovation.

Dr Rachel Collins

Carol has expertise in cognitive ageing and wellbeing in later life. Her research focuses on how lifestyle factors and individual differences influence cognitive function and well-being in older people.

Catherine’s research focuses on improving quality of life for those affected by dementia, and she teaches about post-diagnostic support.
